The Poisoned Apple Pie
Long ago, deep within the dark of the wood a humble cottage stood home to one very fair maiden and seven very stout men.
One day, as the maiden went about her chores, an old woman appeared. Haggard and bent, she grinned up at the maiden and said, "my dear, how lovely you are. Why, your lips are the very color of these apples in my basket. Please, you must take some."
The maiden looked upon the apples, so red and alluring, and she couldn't help but to accept, taking just enough for a pie to share with her friends. "Thank you," she said, "please, won't you stay for-" But the old woman was already retreating back into the shadows, the faintest grin still stretched across her face.
